3 WAYS TO TREAT YOUR ACNE AT-HOMEWhen you have acne, it can be embarrassing to even go outside on some days— with pimples covering your face and your skin being red and inflamed, it can make you feel less than attractive. If you suffer from acne and don’t know how to treat it, try these at-home remedies to help calm your acne and help to get your self-esteem back. Read on to learn more.

Face Wash

One of the most important things that you can do to keep your skin as clean as possible is to constantly wash your face with an acne wash. Acne faces washes typically either have a small percentage of either benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid in them which work to target your acne and clear it up. Additionally, washing your face within itself is great at ridding your skin of extra oils that could also be contributing to your acne.

Spot Treatment

Although it may feel like it, your entire face isn’t covered in acne and so you won’t want to put an acne cream or gel all over your face, because it will only dry it out. However, as the best way to treat those pimples one by one, try a spot treatment. Simply take an acne gel and place a dab of it on your finger, then with your other hand take a cotton swab and dip it into the gel. Use the cotton swab to apply the solution to each individual pimple. By using a cotton swab you can help prevent against adding additional oil from your hands to your face, which can further exacerbate the problem.

Exfoliate

Another great at-home treatment that you can use for your acne is to use an exfoliator. Simply get an over-the-counter acne face scrub from your local superstore or pharmacy. Then use the scrub 2-3 times per week to help target those blackheads, pimples, and any dry skin that may be lingering on your face.
