Dermaplaning is the controlled scraping of the skin using a sterile, surgical blade held at 45 degree angle for the removal of dead skin cells on the outer stratum corneum and fine villous hair. It is highly effective in minimizing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars, while leaving skin smooth, supple and vibrant. It can also be combined with a facial to provide optimal penetration of the active ingredients that we use.
A gentle cleanse and European facial massage is followed by microdermabrasion to remove dead skin cells and stimulate cell turnover for a more youthful looking complexion. A combination of AHA’s and salicylic acid are used to minimize excess oil production and tighten pores. Along with a neck and shoulder massage the treatment finishes with antioxidants and Dr. Funt’s sun protection formula for smoother texture and minimized pore size.
